SDC Solutions Releases IntelliDESK® 6.0 PC-based Attendant Console
Manchester, NH (March 20, 2007) — SDC Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions, today announced the release of IntelliDESK 6.0, the latest version of SDC’s intelligent PC-based attendant console.
IntelliDESK is a robust PC-based attendant console that combines a comprehensive enterprise directory with single keystroke access to critical status and contact information for an organization’s entire business community. IntelliDESK functions as a centralized corporate knowledge database, reducing the time and effort needed to maintain accurate directory information. Additionally, IntelliDESK enhances operator performance through screen-based interactive functions. This streamlined approach to call handling eliminates the need for continually updated extension lists, printed on-call schedules, and cumbersome binders filled with emergency procedures and additional critical information. Ultimately, operator productivity and accuracy is increased while staffing, data entry requirements and overall costs are reduced.
IntelliDESK 6.0 includes significant enhancements to the product's usability and ease of configuration. Specific design enhancements include:
• Database Auditing – Ensures full accountability by tracking all changes made to the Operator and Directory Tables, including any changes made by non-SDC products.
• Contact Preferences – Increases the efficiency of reaching staff with weekly schedules that track preferred methods of contact based on staff member, time of day and day of week.
• Spell Check/Customization – Ensures spelling accuracy with comprehensive spell check functionality. Also supports the ability to add
• Scheduled Events – Allows future scheduling of employee status changes and pager reassignments.
• Message Template Paging Masks – Saves valuable time by inserting pre-defined message templates into a paging window.
IntelliDESK 6.0 has been tested on the Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and on the Business Edition and Ultimate Edition of Microsoft Windows Vista.
